The NPT metro routers are part of Ribbon’s next generation of XDR routers, providing the high-performance, high capacity and service support required to meet operators service needs today and for years to come.

They can be supplied as a fully integrated routers or with hardware from a certified Original Device Manufactures (ODM). Ribbon’s IP Wave rNOS provides all of the IP features and capabilities required in the metro network, for 5GxHaul, residential broadband backhaul and CIN architectures. With 100G and 400G interfaces they can interface seamlessly with the optical transport layer and have the flexibility to be used as the spine node in Telco leaf-spine architectures and interface.
